Stabilization, week 3

This week has been a bit different. I did lose weight, so that is good, but I also celebrated my birthday on the 25th. I was allowed to go a little off course to celebrate, and I enjoyed some Subway Chicken and Dumpling soup, along with a sandwich and some Frito's. I am actually a bit happy to say that while it was good, I over-did it just a little. I enjoyed the flavors, but now I know that I don't need as much to satisfy myself. That is a good thing! I even threw away most of the Frito's!

My weight: 402.4 (down 3.0 pounds from last week, for a total of 46.4 pounds lost to date!)
BMI: 71.4 (down .5 points from last week, for a total of 5.1 points to date!)

Today is the day after my birthday, and I continued to eat more than I should. I had a really rough day today, I will be honest. But tomorrow is a new day, and I am encouraged by friends to "get back on the horse," because that is what life is all about in this sense: it's a series of ups and downs, with hopefully more ups than downs. And when we are down, we need to dust off ourselves and get back up to a new, beautiful day.

Stabilization, weeks 1 & 2

Well, we left off last time, having finished the first phase of this diet, and everyone involved was very happy and encouraged with the results.

I am now 2 weeks into the next step of this diet, called "Stabilization," which lasts 3 weeks, and then after that there is another 3-week phase, called "Maintenance."

I have been getting weighed twice per week, and I think this part of the diet has been even a bit harder than  the first part, which included such a limited diet! In this phase, I have been slowly reintroducing other foods back into my diet, as well as increasing my caloric intake. Naturally, the amount of weight lost each week has lessened quite a bit, but this is the part where I stabilize my diet and caloric intake, to live and eat normally again.

The goal here is to allow my metabolism to do its job properly, having been retrained, so to speak.
Okay, so here are the results of the last two weeks.

Weight: 405.4   (up 2.6 pounds)
BMI: 71.9   (up 0.6 points)

Now while these numbers look like things aren't going well, this is all part of my learning how to eat what my body needs, versus what my brain wants. I have not been eating the vegetables that my body needs, and my water intake needs to improve.

With that being said, please know that I am encouraged even in this. (A bit discouraged, too at times!) I am learning what I need to do to take control of this weight loss. I am forever grateful to all of you who support me by following this blog, and all who are praying for me.

More to come next week, when I am finished stabilizing. Have a great week everybody!

Phase 1 Complete: Here are My Results!

Okay, so Phase 1 of this diet was very low calorie, and used the HCG and other vitamins and supplements. I had my Phase 1 final weigh-in, and here are the results, including before and after pictures. Now remember, this is only phase 1, and I am now in a 3-week period called "Stabilization," which will then be followed by a 3-week period called "Maintenance."

My body has begun a drastic change, and it will take time, but I know that is the safest way to lose weight and keep it off. So, without further explanation, drumroll please...

Weight: 402.8, for a grand total of 46 pounds lost in six weeks!

BMI: 71.3, for a grand total of 5.2 total points!

I've lost a total of 40.75 inches overall throughout my body, with the majority of that being from my stomach area.

A friend told me that after this initial phase in this diet, that my skin looks amazing. She said it looks clearer and fresher than it did before. Personally, I feel good. I can stand longer, my knee pain is much less intense, and controllable, and as long as I drink my water, my headaches aren't as bad as they were before.

I am happy that I am done with the first phase and am enjoying the different foods that I have reintroduced into my diet. Thank you all for coming along with me in this journey. I appreciate you all, and hope you will continue on with me. There is much more to do!

Love, Sarah
