Well, we left off last time, having finished the first phase of this diet, and everyone involved was very happy and encouraged with the results.
I am now 2 weeks into the next step of this diet, called "Stabilization," which lasts 3 weeks, and then after that there is another 3-week phase, called "Maintenance."
I have been getting weighed twice per week, and I think this part of the diet has been even a bit harder than the first part, which included such a limited diet! In this phase, I have been slowly reintroducing other foods back into my diet, as well as increasing my caloric intake. Naturally, the amount of weight lost each week has lessened quite a bit, but this is the part where I stabilize my diet and caloric intake, to live and eat normally again.
The goal here is to allow my metabolism to do its job properly, having been retrained, so to speak.
Okay, so here are the results of the last two weeks.
Weight: 405.4 (up 2.6 pounds)
BMI: 71.9 (up 0.6 points)
Now while these numbers look like things aren't going well, this is all part of my learning how to eat what my body needs, versus what my brain wants. I have not been eating the vegetables that my body needs, and my water intake needs to improve.
With that being said, please know that I am encouraged even in this. (A bit discouraged, too at times!) I am learning what I need to do to take control of this weight loss. I am forever grateful to all of you who support me by following this blog, and all who are praying for me.
More to come next week, when I am finished stabilizing. Have a great week everybody!
Sarah
